PL 100--Intro.
In class today, Tuesday 12/13, we discussed some of the research resources available, and did a short tour of the Husson library resources. The assignment for Thursday 12/15 is to read Chapter 9 of the text. We will also go over what the final exam will cover.

PL 205---Legal Research
In class today, Tuesday 12/13, I handed back the memo drafts, and discussed what work remained for the memos. On Thursday, the Memos are due along with the Memo research notes. Please also hand in the draft memos on which I commented. Also hand in any caselaw or other materials that you copied. Also, Thursday is the last day to hand in research cases for full credit. I will accept research cases after Thursday but before next Tuesday, but will reduce their grade by one letter grade. On Thursday we will review for the final exam.

PL 100--Intro.
In class today, Thursday 12/8, I distributed a handout with the Maine Rules of Evidence hearsay rules. We practiced interviewing, and discussed the application of the hearsay rules. On Tuesday, 12/13, we will discuss the evidentiary rules some more, and then discuss Chapter 8 of the textbook, Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing. The assignment for Tuesday is to read Chapter 8.

PL 205--Legal Research
In class today, Thursday 12/8, I collected drafts of the memos, which I will hand back with comments on Tuesday 12/13. The assignment for Tuesday is to continue to work on the memos, as well as to finish up any research questions still outstanding.

PL 100--Intro.
In class today, Tuesday 11/6, we went over the ten civil procedure questions. I also distributed a handout of Rules 5 and 6 of the MRCivP, and we went over counting of time under those rules. The assignment for Thursday 11/8 is to read Chapter 7 of the text.

PL 205--Research
In class today, Tuesday 11/6, I consulted with each student about progress on the Memo. The draft of the memo is due Thursday 11/8.

PL 100---Intro.
In class today, Thursday 12/1, we went over some of the concepts in Chapter 6 of the text. I distributed 3 hand-outs, one a photocopy of the Appendix of Forms, one Rules 1-4 of the MRCivP, and the 3rd the assignment for next Tuesday. That assignment consists of 10 questions about how some civil procedure questions are answered under the MRCivP.

PL 205---Legal research
In class today, Thursday 12/1, we had a tour of the law library. The assignment for next Tuesday is to work on the interoffice memo assignment. The first draft of that memo is due next Thursday 12/8.
