PL 100--Intro.
In class today, Tuesday 12/12, we went over some concepts from chapter 8 of the text, and did a tour of the Husson library. The assignment for Thursday 12/14 is to read chapter 9 of the text.

PL 205--Legal Research
In class today, Tuesday 12/12, I handed back the drafts of the memo. The assignment for Thursday 12/14 is to finish the memo. When you hand in the memo and your research notes, also please hand in the draft of the memo, and any photocopies that you made of statutes and/or caselaw. On Thuresday we will also review for the final exam.

In class today, Thursday 12/7, we went over the Tomah brief. We also went over Question 7 on p. 262, The assignment for Tuesday, 12/12 is to read Chapter 8 of the text. Prepare to discuss questions 1 and 2 on p. 310.

PL 205--Legal Research
In class today, Thursday 12/7, I collected the drafts of the memos, and discussed your progress on those memos. On Tuesday 12/12 I will hand back the drafts with comments.

PL 100--Intro.
In class today, Tuesday 12/5, we went over the Gregory brief. I distributed 2 handouts, one an excerpt from the Maine Rules of Evidence, and the other the case of State v. Tomah, 1999 ME. 109. The assignment for Thursday 12/7 is to read the excerpt of the Rules of Evidence, and to brief the Tomah case (Issue I regarding evidence). The case contains a concurring opinion, and I would like you to include a few sentences explaining the view of the concurring Justices. PL 205--Legal Research
In class today, Tuesday 12/5, I went around the class to make sure that everyone had a good start on the Memo project. The draft of the memos is due Thursday 12/7. Thursday is also the last day to hand in any make-up assignments that you were working on.
