PL 100--Intro.
In class today, Tuesday 12/5, we went over the Gregory brief. I distributed 2 handouts, one an excerpt from the Maine Rules of Evidence, and the other the case of State v. Tomah, 1999 ME. 109. The assignment for Thursday 12/7 is to read the excerpt of the Rules of Evidence, and to brief the Tomah case (Issue I regarding evidence). The case contains a concurring opinion, and I would like you to include a few sentences explaining the view of the concurring Justices. If you were not in class, I left a copy of the 2 handouts in my mailbox in room 300. You can also access the Tomah case at the following website:

PL 205--Legal Research
In class today, Tuesday 12/5, I went around the class to make sure that everyone had a good start on the Memo project. The draft of the memos is due Thursday 12/7. Thursday is also the last day to hand in any make-up assignments that you were working on.
