PL 305--Legal Ethics
In class tonight, Thursday 3/4, we first went over the exams. I will hand them back when we return from Spring break. I distributed one handout, Ethics Opinion #186, which addressed screening of paralegals. We also talked about the question of whether screening is necessary only if a paralegal actually received confidential information in a case, or whether any work in a case is sufficient to trigger a conflict, or even whether just access to information is itself enough to trigger a conflict. The assignment for Thursday March 25 is to read Chapter 6 of the text. I hope that you have a good and a safe Spring Break.
